Community Engagement
The PKD Center at Columbia University is deeply engaged with the local communities through its collaboration with the PKD Foundation. As part of this outreach, the center routinely provides educational talks at monthly meetings, offering patients and families the latest insights into the management and research of Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD). In 2024, the center’s involvement extended to participating in the Walk for PKD in Hudson Valley, New York, a key event that raises awareness and funds for ongoing PKD research. Through these initiatives, the PKD Center continues to support and connect with the PKD community in meaningful ways.
